Ordinarily, this is where a grizzled old site maintainer would put something beginning with "When I first started out with this site, there was nothing else like it on the scene."  But that's totally inaccurate.  This site was directly inspired by (some would say, 'ripped off of') a number of sites in a similar geek-observation-with-dose-of-would-be-humor vein.  Why make another one?  Well, at the time I started out several of the old classic sites were starting to seriously suck.  Also, I felt I could cover territory left behind by the big papas of the genre, and maybe stake my claim to some material that would henceforth be considered Addison Godel-type humor, doomed to be itself ripped off countless times by other, lesser intellects.

But anyway.  What I'm going for with this page is just sort of a big massive waste of time.  Maybe a funny one in places, I hope.  It evolved out of the NES Discussion page (features an enraged Skinhead Fighter for a logo) when I decided to do a page dedicated to the enormous Mega Man cast; then came my discovery, through |tsr's enormous Nintendo database (see Links) of the world of Nintendo advertising, so I had to do a page dedicated to that.  All the sections at this site are in some way still expanding - feel free to email me to give me the hassle about it all, and if you've got a chance, please take the time to check out the rest of my site.   I guarantee* it'll be worth your time.  Anyway, here's the site:

Index Index Page: You're at it now.   Contains the site's raison d'etre, these link descriptions, et cetera.  Also keep an eye out here for announcements of new updates, as I'm too lazy to give each subpage an update log.
NES Discussion NES Discussion: The section that started it all - a lengthy, supposedly humorous analysis of old video games and why I play them, despite the fact that most are organized around the principle of frustration.
Mega Man Mega Man: Based on the collection of images provided in the overlooked Super NES Mega Man title Rockman & Forte, I discuss one hundred characters from this bizarrely popular series.    A massive undertaking.
NES Ads NES Ads: In case my site hasn't convinced you to start buying up obscure Nintendo garbage, perhaps these vintage television commercials will.  Warning: the Creator of Ultra Games can be fatal.   Exercise caution.
Links Links: If my site hasn't exhausted your desire for sly, dry, wry commentary on the video game world as we know it, maybe these sites will.  Don't miss the up-and-coming fan game, Smash Brothers Zero.

Standard notice nobody reads: This site and all writings contained within are copyright 2000 Addison Godel unless otherwise noted.  Pretty much all images are copyright somebody else and are used here in an academic, reviewer-evaluative sense as protected by law.  Sod off.
