Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines   -   Blue Danube, 3/.50   -   Two And A Half Stars

Like the movie that inspired it, this table is a somewhat disappointing use of a great franchise and its characters.  I'll admit that the steel-and-red-lights aesthetic actually serves the series better than the film's broader palette, but this is basically Terminator 2 with fancier toys – most of the time you’re just aiming for ramp shots and watching the ball zip around.  So, as cool as it is to hear Ahnold's digitally sampled voice intoning things like "Multibahl....hez BEGAHN," it’s a letdown when he commands, "Shoot...anything," and you realize there's not much of anything to shoot at.
