Music I Like: The Desert Island Collection

When the authorities come to inform me that I have five minutes to pack for my future desert island home, these are the albums I will not allow myself to forget in the rush.  I'd like to think they represent, in some way, the various dips and turns of my musical taste.  Although it would be in a very limited kind of way, I would be satisfied if I could only listen to these select albums for the rest of my music-fan life.  This page also provides a healthy outlet for my otherwise dangerous critical/gushing streak, which, if not addressed in this manner, could easily lead me to restructuring Ummagurau.com as an obnoxious media review site.  Since most of us, especially me, don't want to see that happen, I urge you to enjoy these nuggets of devotion to these records, for which there will always be a place in my heart.

Note: Only a few of the Desert Island entries are complete at this point; the rest don't have links.  I wouldn't ordinarily put up so much "Coming Soon!" content, but I didn't want the completed ones to look lonely - or worse, to give them a sense of extra-specialness beyond what they deserve.  More coming soon.  (?)
