This very welcome addition to the series finally shakes things up a bit by introducing some new orphans, the Quagmire Triplets.  (One of them is deceased, but they still consider themselves triplets.)  These eternally cheerful and upbeat characters don't immediately add much to the plot, but they still breathe in some fresh air.  I liked the baby having to work as a secretary.  Count Olaf's plan this time around is a little bit uninspired, though.
